I really hope Id has not given into the idea of only having checkpoint saves. Please tell me it will have normal saves.

I think you'll get the 2, normal save and save checkpoint

That is actually best. What I don't understand is why someone does not automate the process. The game could keep track of what is happening and just automaticlly restart from where you were.
