Child's SandboxWorking Package

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 2:25 am

Greetings,

I am a just-toddling modder, so please indulge me.

I tried to attach a chop-wood (SandboxWork) AI Package to a child, the very same that I successfully attached to an advlt, but it would not function. The child just stood idly beside the chopping block.

Is there some hidden, uh, block against "child labor?" I know PC rules at Bethesda, but if you should be permitted to marry, you should pardon the expression, without sixual distinction, surely a son can chop wood at his father's shop, no?

If there is a block, I'd wager it has more to do with the child simply not having the animations than a PC block, because chopping wood would be a pretty reasonable chore in the setting we're in. In general, childrace has pretty minimal effort put into it, IMO.

Thank you. I was not aware of the details of animations.

I'll have to investigate whether a child can read a book, whether there might be a book-reading idle or such.

Maybe someday a hyper-modder will create the kind of animation I'd seek. There are plenty of talented people out there, so who knows?

Ah, I remember her from Morrowind days, a queen sublime among modders. She mourned the loss of her friend Grumpy. I'll visit her page regardless of of whether I can learn how to teach my own Lokisen to chop wood.

Thank you.
