Childhood Memories

To start, here's a great ytmnd: http://whatifmachine.ytmnd.com/

What were your favorite childhood TV shows, video games, movies, products, etc?

I could never go a day without watching Rugrats or Hey Arnold.

Yeah I would go back with all my current memories and manipulate people with my charm and cuteness, while creating a deviating plot to make sure I get what I want this time around. And also not to mention create rumors and then become that famous person to create that scary rumor and/or story.

Go back to being less intelligent and less experienced for no reason other than to relive my same, old childhood when I could just play that old video game, watch that old TV show/movie, or listen to that music anytime with ease (via PS3/PS3 and PC + backwards compatibility, Netflix/renting services/movie purchasing, and Youtube... respectively) and still experience new things and make new memories? Heck no.

I liked some Nickelodeon shows, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, old SNES (forgettable), PS1 (Spyro, Crash Bandicoot), PS2 (Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest VIII, and Final Fantasy XII), and PC (Baldur's Gate and Civilization) games.

In a heartbeat. My childhood and early teens were in the 80s and I have very fond memories of it all.

Bonus if I can go back as my current mental self.

I would die before I went back to my childhood.

I have barely made it this far, why would I want to degress back to square one only to wait 20 years to get back to where I am now.

Of course I would, the nineties were an awesome decade. Very fond memories of it all. I'd love to experience it as an advlt. Though there is a Twilight Zone episode that warns us about wanting to go back and experience our childhood again. Its called http://twilightzone.wikia.com/wiki/Walking_Distance Quote from the episode:

Robert Sloan: Martin.
Martin Sloan: Yes, Pop.
Robert Sloan: You have to leave here. There's no room, there's no place. Do you understand that?
Martin Sloan: I see that now, but I don't understand. Why not?
Robert Sloan: I guess because we only get one chance. Maybe there's only one summer to every customer. That little boy, the one I know - the one who belongs here - this is his summer, just as it was yours once. Don't make him share it.
Martin Sloan: Alright.
Robert Sloan: Martin, is it so bad where you're from?
Martin Sloan: I thought so, Pop. I've been living on a dead run and I was tired. And one day I knew I had to come back here. I had to get on the merry-go-round and listen to a band concert. I had to stop and breathe, and close my eyes and smell, and listen.
Robert Sloan: I guess we all want that. Maybe when you go back, Martin, you'll find that there are merry-go-rounds and band concerts where you are. Maybe you haven't been looking in the right place. You've been looking behind you, Martin. Try looking ahead.

=.= I'd be going back to a childhood where I missed out on all of that stuff... :P Better just check it out on the internet as an advlt.

Go back? To being a child? Probably not. I can't abide by loss of knowledge, and that just seems like to harsh a payment for "another go at it". Unless I can keep my knowledge, but even then. Life's too short to keep endlessly looking back. Besides, who says I can't still play the video games and watch the shows I used to like as a kid anyways? :P

I would not go back, even though there was less responsibility and independance. I far prefer being an advlt.
I was extremely fond of HR Puffinstuff, Land of the Lost, Merrie Melodies, Scooby Doo, Superfriends, Huckleberry Hound, and Tom & Jerry.

Sure, why not? I don't mind being an advlt, but being able to relive my childhood would be a blast. Besides, I'd just grow into the same person I am now, so it's not like I'd be missing out on anything.

As for shows: Transformers G1, Batman: The Animated Series, Spider-Man (1994), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987), etc.

I'd probably go back. I could drive my Power Wheels Jeep and Firetruck again. I was also way into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and anything with dinosaurs.

Dunno. Some things I liked about my childhood, other things were... quite a lot less good. I enjoyed life with the group of friends I had though, especially in the ridiculously hot summers of the 1970s.

And then there's the thought of getting rid of all the tedious responsibilities that go with advlthood, which always makes the idea of going back to my youth quite a tempting one.

One thing that always makes me not want to go back- Doing math classes over again. I am finally done with math, and would not want to go through them again... I suffered from both almost failing them to my parents nagging me to do my stupid math homework. Once I think about that, then my nostalgia goes away pretty quick.

That's exactly why I *would* go back, only if I kept my current knowledge/mind. I'd effectively "keep" my life this far, then get start from the beginning again and redo as I wish, effectively getting free decades of life.
