Children are discriminated

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 12:32 am

Children in skyrim are discriminated, well to put it better foreign children in skyrim are discriminated. The only children found are nords, what happend to all the other children, i would have loved to see orc children, or elf children, or even argonian children, i know that that would have been more work for bethesda but i think that it would have added a lot more to the atmosphere. What do you think, would it have been worth it?

I wish you could adopt a kid. Like find some random orphan, and take him under your wing or something, but only if there were all the species of kids like you said. I want an Argonian kid to carry on the family name damnit.

Yes, totally worth it since they spent time to make great character models with good variation they could do it for children too.

They probably stayed away from beast race children because they have yet to explain how that works loreically (just made up that word)

you don't see very many beast races in the land that aren't wandering merchants or thieves that came from their homeland. I guess their young are back home going to school. ;-)

no, because i remember doing a quest with a certain dunmer npc that said that her child was at the riften orphanage, so i would think that there would be more if there was one.

Before Skyrim was released and I realised all the 'children' were copy/ paste job like in the 'Silence in the Library' episode of dr. Who I was very much looking forward to Argonian and Khajiit children :(

Lets hope modders put them in soon.

I'm pretty disappointed in them myself. At least in the Fallout games, they were fairly diverse physically and could wear different clothes. Here, they are largely copy and pasted...like clones.

im pretty sure according to lore the race of the child is decided by the race of the mother(i think, it MIGHT be father) but this has come up many times on the forums.

Are there a lot of argonian families in Skyrim? (Or just travelers?)

there are many living outside the cities, i think it would have been cool if there was an argonian family living in a little shack, probably on one of the warmer places.
