This got me through half the FO3 Storyline, but in New Vegas No longer provides a Stealth Field?!

Dont get me wrong, I can hold my own in any battle, its just it was so handy, but whats the reason for cancelling the stealth field?!
This just makes it another Cool piece of armor, with an average DT of 12, and only a bonus of 5+ Stealth.

Now I know this armor was basically used as an unlimited stealth boy, but to me it just gave me that, Cybernetic Assasin feel,
please re-add this feature.

P.S, for anyone who wants it, its found in the Hoover Dam Office Building, a Terminal will point you where to find it: In a room where some
crates are next to irradiated barrels.

I was slightly disappointed with it, but it's still my armor of choice. Now if only they'd make it to where my hat and shades don't show up through the suit when I wear it...

Well it was just slightly overpowered in FO3. I do think it was over-nerfed in NV.

Awww, its bums me out to know that Stealth armour isnt here now.. ive always been the sneaky type. now i wont get that feel in this fallout.. especially since things detect me from so far away.

Seriously though, FO3 got too easy when using it. If you're having problems with sneaking just pile up some stealth boys, especially useful in daylight and bright indoor areas.

that chinese armour was an add-on in fo3. you do not need that crap to be 'stealthy'! Stick to darkness, wear light armour, crawl in speed and holster your weapon while sneaking up.

Im playing as an assassin and the chinese stealth armour would be awsum to have for my character.

also this^ and the mesmetron so i can enslave humans for the legion.

There are mods available to restore the stealth field, if I remember rightly. Once the GOTY edition of New Vegas is out, that will be one of the first mods I will pick up.

eh.. because Im cheap n lazy I made sure to get the chinese stealth armor in FO3.. and it ruined it for me.. but not enough that I took the armor off, lol..

between that and the backwoods rifle or whatever it is you get from the bayou add-on.. there wasnt much that I couldnt one-shot one-kill with crit headshots..

They shouldn't have taken the stealth completely out of it... otherwise it's not "stealth armor" it's a wetsuit. HOWEVER, they should have added a timer to the stealth field effect. That way you can't just run around cloaked all the time. You have to wait for it to charge back up (like the recharger rifle) and then you can use it again.

Bayou Add-on?

Yeah.. whatever DLC it was that had the swamps and rednecks and that kinda thing.. you took the boat from the Wasteland to it..

That suit was SOOOOOOO overpowered. Glad it didn't make a comeback.

I think they took the lazy way out by just removing the stealth field, to be honest.
The right thing to do would be to make it like Euclid's C Finder. Once you put it on, it uses up its charge. It only lasts for say, 30 seconds real time and then it takes a certain amount of (real time) to be used again.

ya i relied on it in fo3 but that was the fun seeing what you could pull off
