Yes please.

But on a more serious note, there are no female playable characters in brink

Yep, Only male. Splash Damage has stated in a few interviews that adding in a female body type would have halfed the amount of customization available to both sides. And i agree, Would you rather have Male and Female each with 30-40 pieces of clothing, Or a single Male character type with 80+ pieces of clothing.

Only male in Brink.

This subject has been discussed to death.

Dev stated they really wanted to include female models, but choose to add more customization options to the existing models.

However, they did state that if Brink sells decently in the market, when Brink 2 gets the go for development, female models will be a top priority.

Yeah, I'd love to choose six :D

.. This is not the right subject, is it? :l

*Anyways - No, there aint no women and if there now were I wouldn't mind making one or two, I have seen what they can do with hyper-realistic females with pen and paper, and I can only wonder how good they will look in the game animated

http://i52.tinypic.com/2zhldo0.jpg - took this screenshot some time ago, to the left and to the right you can see some female art

I prefer my six with women. But they had no time to add that feature.

well, after play MGO4, and seeing the customization of the female characters, it was pretty much the same... as many female gamers as i've seen complaining about lack of female characters in brink, i think either way it would've still been a decent choice... appeal to female players more, or appeal to a wider audience and have more options overall? personally, i think too many FPS have been sausage-fests, and a little t&a never hurt anyone...

remember, you can't motorboat a personality

Yes you also can't motorboat an animated female either. What's your point? I'm friends with a ton of chicks from my school that love CoD and none of them seem to give a crap that there aren't any female characters. I really don't think a game won't appeal to a female gamer simply because there aren't any female characters. That being said, I think they made the better decision in providing more options to be unique over female character models.

Tbh I'd rather they retained the level of customization they had for males than made HUGE cuts to free up the memory for females. Female gamers are no doubt a minority, and particularly in FPS games, and you really have to look at it from SD's business perspective - they have to appeal to the target audience rather than niches, which in the FPS industry happens to be males. I really don't expect to start seeing explosions and car chases in any chick flicks any time soon.

They asked Paul Wedgewood in an interview about this. He said "We really wanted to add a female character into the game, but the logistics and time line of doing it meant we would have had to push back the release date which we didn;t want to do. The other option, was take a male skin and just add briasts, but that would have been a dis service to the female gamers." - or words to that effect.

They were going to have a male commentator voice in the game, but changed it to a females to semi placate some of this, and the voice artist who does it is a woman called Niki, who is the Audio Directors girlfriend :)

I can definitely see your point, and I agree... i believe they made a good choice by not cutting the customization options to pander to a small percentage of female gamers, and reduce the options for the rest of the gamers who either don't care, or want the extra options... I didn't have a point with the original post, only making some conversation
