I've only done the Stormcloaks side of the quests and when I get to the basemant in Solitude. Most of the former Jarls say not so nice things to me.

I can't figure out how to do the "spoiler thingie" so I'll just ask.

Well, it's in the code block, in funky pale blue text. Try selecting the entire code block - which will highlight it in white-on-grey.

Can't help you with the jarls - I never do either questline. Petty civil wars in my games are NOT my thing.

they say the same thing on each side - about holding your honour cheaply, and all the ways theyve imagined you dying. cant remember where thay hang out though, its in a basemant somewhere i think.

I get you there. It IS not my thing at all. Just did it to get it out of my way. I may repeat it from the imperial side. There are so many side quests to do, I may never get to it again.

I just let whatever quest breadcrumbs I get (like Join the Imperials/Stormcloaks) sit in my log. I'm not OCD that way - they can sit there forever.

even when i played the stormcloak side, all the people in the palace sitting at the table insulted me in the same way. it was really odd. not sure if thats normal.

For some reason, this entire game so far seems bent on insulting the incipient hero. Very strange.

I did the imperial side and all the losing yarls hang out in the palace of kings, usually sitting around the long table

You would think there would be a more climatic ending. I guess it's the same on both sides then.
