Ok, first off if this is a dumb question please feel free to throw your extra tomatoes at me..

So, please see below on my current character for more equipment details. Here is my question right up front. When I select my bow (even still equip) my Damage at the bottom shows 505 (+158). I have see it only show 505 and at one point showing 505 (+350), but my equipment has stayed the same. I am not understanding why this number changes so drastically. (no archery potion modifiers used)

Here is what I have done.. My character has done the alchemy/enchanting to get the max as can be with potions and enchantments. So I took off all Apparel (and removed arrows) to show my cold base Daedric Bow Damage at 168. I added one Apparel item at a time till everything was on, then added arrows. See below:

Bow: 168
Ring: 248
Necklace: 327
Head: 406
Hands: 485
Ebony Arrow: 505

Total at bottom: 505 (+158)..

It is the +158 that is confusing me.. especially sense at one point I was walking in skyrim and noticed my Damage at the bottom said 505 (+350) * note unsure of exact 300 number but did note to myself and said "what!? 800 points of Damage?? *.

to add more info on this, I was playing this morning and with my Daedric Bow equipped it said 505 (+391) at the bottom.. So, by my math that shows 896 damage points.. but then when i looked at it after killing a dragon it said 505 only.. strange.. This was a daedric bow with Ebony arrows (20 damage points).
