ClothingArmor additions?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 3:48 am

I was just recallingapost not to long agoin reference to Capes in Skyrim, and this made me think of some of the other clothing/armor options we have had in the past(but not for almost a decade without mods): Belts, Multiple Rings, Pauldrons, and Armored Legging items to name a few. Just wondering if anyone else missed some these aesthetic and performance enhancing( i.e. more enchanting slots) goodies as much as I did.

I was bugged when I first heard that they wiere merging cuirass and greaves, but since Skyrim has twice the number of armors Oblivion had, I am fine with it. That doesn't mean though that I am happy with the amount of armors in the game, when Dark Souls, Two Worlds,Amalur etc are offering countless varieties of armor. They need to look into this, maybe releasing a Gun Runners Arsenal type DLC which will add more armors and weapons into the game's loot

Spaulders definitely added an aesthetic feel that you find in alot of other games, but shouldnt the top RPG have the ability to have some more customization and user costumization elements? Dont get me wrong, I have enjoyed the elder scrolls series since Inception, and have nothing but lovef or the franchise. Just think this would be awesome as we get into the official DLC/major patches phase of the game's continued growth.

Don't think we are getting capes in any Skyrim upcoming DLC, the ones we saw in the Dawnguard trailers are most probably part of the armor

Darn, I was looking forward to that, was definitely going to get one on my Breton Death Knight :( I miss those capes, and with the high resolutions Skyrim offers i can only imagine how detailed a belt, cape, earrings, etc. would look.

I think dyeing your armor should be included...like changing the red in deadra armor into blue or green.

Another thing they should do is you know how you have hide armor then you have studded hide armor with iron. You should be able to craft that and other armor/clothing styles with the different ore minerals.

I agree, I would love to mess with the different tints and layerings on the daedric armor expecially

I agree. I prefer them to merge the armours so that we have more. Lets be honest, I doubt many would mix and match an armor if they were real. The parts probably wouldn't line up and it'll be uncomfortable.

I'd like to see more race specific armors / clothes.

We have Aldmeri armor & robes, we have orcish armor, we have Nord & Imperial armors, we have Hammerfell garb. I'd like to see some Breton robes and some Dunmer / Argonian armor.

A return of some old armors would be good.
