hey everyone. I was wondering what exactly Cobl Races TNR does compared to TNR all races.
Is there a "recomended" one to choose between then?

With Cobl Races TNR you get TNR's tweaked NPC faces but also hairs and eyes from Cobl Races, so basically much more diversity. Some like it (me for instance), some don't like certain choices for particular NPCs or the added hairs in general etc. So hard to recommend anything. I'd say that if you don't dislike Ren/Corean hairs you'll probably appreciate the diversity.

I don't think that would work. Either TNR SI no helmets will override Cobl Races TNR SI or the other way around. So in short - they aren't compatible. Seems like a good idea for a future update, though.

I've been getting http://img41.imageshack.us/i/bugayleidcoin.gif/ kind of thing. When it seems to me they should be in the same stack. There's http://img842.imageshack.us/i/bugmultiplepelts.gif/. No prints, but for "wolf meat" and "meat, wolf" happens too.

is it a bug?

I feel kinda bad. All I do is to report stuff and ask stuff. I think we should chat more, about, like, non oblivion stuff.

Did you try the Cobilize item option through the Options menu? You could check to make sure that those coins are actually have the same base record by using FormID Finder to anolyze them. They may just have the same name, although nothing in your load order jumps out at me for introducing two types of Ayleid Coins.

Yes, that's "normal". Probably caused by those being added by several mods (at least OOO and Cobl). Not 100% but pretty sure that's one of the things that will be fixed in the upcoming releases.

it shows that the pelt worth 4 septims belongs to OOO and has its icon on Textures\menus\icons\clutter\iconlionhide.dds
weird.

I downloaded the recent 1.73 patch (thanks btw for that!) and now I have all the hair options I wasn't getting previously. *SQUEE* However...I have a weird eye bug issue. I read somewhere about it, but I dunno where I read it. COuld I be pointed in teh right direction, and or would someone be willing to help?

Happens with *all* the vanilla races, plus the Skyrim Khajiit and the Tangmp, Ren's race (the mod races, not the cobl race) and ONLY with the standard Red, Blue, Green and Brown eye colors.

Cobl Races TNR - problem on clean install...

I was directed to a closed discussion forum by http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes4Mod:Cobl but the thread in the link was locked. I'm replying here in hopes that it will get noticed.

I'm redoing my install of Oblivion as my old install was littered with way too much stuff. I did a clean install in an emprty directory and have so far added only the following mods.

My Load Order report from OBMM is as follows:

I ran into trouble when I tried to use the COBL Races TNR esp A number of characters got googley eyes and lost their hair. Deactivating that ,esp file solved the problem. I very carefully re-read the web page http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21104 and found no warnings or advice about this.

I even tried Cobl - NPCDiversity - TNR Merge in addition to no avail.

Turning off the COBL Races TNR esp file by itself seemed to fix the problem. Given that this is a clean install I'd suggest that there should be something on the webpage that warns about this/fixes it.

I did a filesearch on TES Nexus for anything with COBL in the title and there didn't seem to be any other mods that addressed this problem.

Any suggestions or comments would be welcome. I'll try again after I get a few of the other beautification mods loaded.

First of all, do you have the Cobl Cosmetics Res 01 pack? It is necessary as it has the resources for races, hairs, eyes.

Thanks! I missed the note that this optional package was required for the TNR Race mod. After a bit of a struggle installing it, my googly-eye problem went away and my bald women no longer look like they just finished chemo.

Hello, I am having a rather unique problem with Cobl/Cobl Races. I have looked around as much as possible but am unsure whether anyone has had this problem before.

I'll try and be brief... I'm using Cobl Races tweaked slightly for personal preference (only adding in a few vanilla powers/abilities back etc) been playing and it has all worked fine. I am using a Wood Elf and the problem in question is the Greater Power to craft bone arrows.

I tried it at the beginning of the game with the collection of bones in the imperial sewers and it worked fine. I have now got to a point in the game where I have more bones to use up, although have noticed that the Power hadn't reset. What I mean by that is... it is still stating 'powers can only be used once per day'. Even i I literally wait another 24 hours it will not reset. I have a vanilla greater power alongside that and that indeed resets after the 24 hours like normal, so am unsure why this is happening.

I doubt it is a mod conflict as surely that would break all greater powers right?

Just curious if anyone else has actually used the Cobl Race Wood Elf and it's greater power and knows if this is a known bug or not, or whether it is just me having the problem.

OK nevermind. I restarted the game not using the bone arrow spell until I left the sewers. Works fine now! My bad...

This is just a quick message to CorePC, after downloading the new Resource pack the bug was fixed, something tells me my issue was due to have installed the non-vanilla versions of the resource packs. Also i adjusted the tweaks to remove the strange letters, however i still cant get rid of the item pick up bug, but thats prolly not a Cobl issue either

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38291 is a mod I created that allows Vanilla and Cobl player races* to have:
a: - a varety of styles of eyelashes, utilising the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=18185 by throttlekitty & jclyde6108 and,
b: - the option to choose from 8 Coolsims Cool Hair designs (converted by Lucha for Oblivion - need to ask for permission to use these hair designs).

Sample screenshots supplied on TESNexus link above

The eyelash styles also get applied to NPCs** throughout Oblivion and SI

Elsweyr Anequinna custom races also gain eyelashes - probably due to them using the Khajiit / Ohme-Raht tongue - pure chance on my part, I was planning on creating an esp for it, but saved myself the work ;)

*Argonians do not get eyelashes or hair mods for obvious reasons - this incluedes the Elsweyr lizard race (I forget the name) ;)

** Vampires & Dremora included (I haven't tested the look on these 2 yet so let me know if there are any issues)

Most races have their own unique style of eyelash (as shown in the screenshots)

Awesome Working Eyelashes for Cobl Races and Some New Hair has Well, thanks.

Too bad we can't randomly assign them to race like hair, since they use the tongue slot.

Maybe if there was some way of overylaying the eyelash mesh over the existing eyelid mesh and keep its own texture reference, then there could be a possibility of individual colours? Not sure where the eyelid mesh would be located - within the head mesh?

It may be possible or it may not possible has the eyelashes are set ontop of the head mesh,

while the eye's would set underneath on the head mesh , the head mesh has the eyeslot open, the eyelashes would have to be raised up and away out of the eye slot to fit on top of the head.

Not a modeller but something like that I think.

me neither, otherwise I would have looked into it - I'm guessing there would be quite a few complications or we would have seen a head mesh with working eyelashes incorporated ages ago, I think.

I agree if would have been possible then Jclyde and Throttlekitty would have already done it I think.

Then, I have to apologize for my english... i'll try to do my best.

Here is my problem with Cobl Races:

I'm running a localized (italian) GOTY edition, including all of the official plug-ins/DLCs; I installed
COBL 1.72 & COBL Cosmetics Res, using BAIN, BOSS and following the official documentation.
If I use "Cobl Races TNR" and "COBL Races TNR SI" all is fine, but if I add "Cobl Races.esp"
all of the NPC's voices are muted...

I think this could be related with the localized names of the races, making the game unable to
find the related audio files...

Can anyone help me ?

From the Race Balancing Project Readme which is where Cobl Races came from..

Make sure that you use the correct language. EV = English version, DV = German version. Other languages are not yet supported (see FAQ). If you install the wrong language, NPCs will become mute.


Most likely the issue Since their is no translation for Cobl Races in Italian the Npc will be mute, I have asked for a Translated Version for Cobl by the way.
