It seems that a lot of the UK details have been confirmed for the various editions that are being released, so I've collected together all the information I could find on where to buy New Vegas Collector Edition's and also the four pre-order packs. All of this information was correct on the day of this post: 17/08/10.

The caravan pack seems to be the only pack you can get at either Play.com or online via Steam if you're after the PC version.

The collector edition's is apparently exclusive to GAME and GameStation (which are the owned by the same company by the way).

So in the end it looks like the UK is getting all the pre-order packs and the collectors edition too which is good news.

I want the Caravan pack (Play.com) but I also want that Collector's Edition. Hmmm, if the CE is exclusive to GAME then it looks like I'll have to settle for the Classic pack, then. That's not a bad thing, but I love the Lightweight Leather and I think vault jumpsuits look kinda gimpy.

Microsoft and Sony sell their systems for a cheaper price than it costs to manufacture/ship/etc. one, so in order to make up for the sales they have a percentage of the costs from every game on their system sold that goes back to them. Hence console games have a $10 pricetag higher than PC games.

This also funds MS/Sony QA and other services. When Bethesda is done putting all three editions through their internal QA the PC version is ready to go but the XBox 360 and PS3 versions need to be sent to their respective company's for further vetting.

I'm quite certain that Oblivion (at least on the XBox 360) and Fallout 3 had a similar price difference and there are certainly plenty of non-Bethesda games that have this as well.

Since you're using an online store, they'll more than likely send an email to the email address you used to buy the game with (as I assume you have to sign up for Play.com, and provide an email address to set up an account?). Retail stores generally print out the code on a receipt for you, or give you a card with the game (sometimes the card is inside of the game's case, such as in the case of Battlefield: Bad Company 2's VIP codes).

Hmm. Game delivers to mainland Europe, Game have the pack I'd most want... Game it is. Sure hope that the CE doesn't weigh much more than one kilogram, they tend to not send packages that heavy.

Well, I allways preorder from Amazon UK, because I live in Germany and I want to avoid the censorship here.

But actually I don't want that Tribal Pack, because I prefer the Caravan Pack for the shotgun and especially the Binoculars.

Do you guys know were I can preorder from inside the UK for the Caravan Pack???
Ordering from the US wouldn't be that cool, because it's outside the EU and that makes it more complex to get it.....

Well play.com are supposed to be getting the caravan pack, so you could try there.

Also don't forget that the PS3 isn't regionalised. So if you have a PS3 you could get it from anywhere.

Well' I'll try out play.com, and no I play PC and I don't own a PS3, but I've the english version of Fallout 3 and it worked well.

GAME and GameStation have now put the pre-order bonuses on each individual product page, so now seems like the time for me to pre-order that Collector's Edition + Classic Pack.

Somewhat related... I had some folks ping me about receiving a notification that the PC CE was not coming to Europe. This isn't the case. The sites that sent emails cancelling pre-orders should have rectified the problem by now.
