Collectors edition bonus

Post » Sat Apr 30, 2011 1:20 pm

I personally like to get as many unique variants of weapons as possible in the game and even though it can''t be helped to get certain ones, it would still bug me at the back of my mind that I don't have all the dlcs.
(Sorry if something simialar was posted before)

I have missed something? Has 4 DLCs been announced for New Vegas? In fact have the European Pre-Order Weapons & Costumes been unveiled yet?

Or are you talking about the 5 DLCs included in the Game of the Year Edition of Fallout 3?

Depending on where you preorder it you get an armor set, 1 or 2 weapons and misc items.

Like the caravan pack "The Caravan Pack is a Fallout: New Vegas add-on that gives the player access to of extra items at the start of the game. It was announced as a pre-order bonus exclusive to Steam, Wal-Mart, Mighty Ape, and Play.com . It includes lightweight leather armor, the sturdy caravan shotgun, 4 repair kits, and a pair of binoculars."

The Mercenary pack "The Mercenary Pack is a Fallout: New Vegas add-on that gives the player access to extra items at the start of the game. It was announced as a pre-order bonus exclusive to the Best Buy and JB-Hi Fi (Australia) chains of stores. It includes lightweight metal armor, a mercenary's grenade rifle, 3 super stimpaks, and 3 doctor's bags."

The Tribal pack "The Tribal Pack is a Fallout: New Vegas add-on that gives the player access to extra items at the start of the game. It was announced as a pre-order bonus exclusive to Amazon.com and direct2drive.com. It includes tribal raiding armor, a broad machete, 5 bleak venom doses, and 10 throwing spears."

And finally the classic pack "The Classic Pack is a Fallout: New Vegas add-on that gives the player access to extra items at the start of the game. It was announced as a pre-order bonus exclusive to the GameStop and EB Games chains of stores. It includes an armored Vault 13 suit, a weathered 10mm pistol a Vault 13 canteen, and 5 stimpaks."

And sorry im not sure if the european ones have been announced yet but I assume they will be the same packs.

The packs are incentives to purchase from certain retailers. if they were availiable all in one then where is the incentive anymore.

Besides, the collectors edition is already getting a bunch of stuff others won't get.

Seriously, you'd have to pre-order from EVERYBODY to get all of them, and that bugs me too. Even if you did that, unless the stuff is downloaded on to your hard drive, you might not get to use all of it in one playthrough.

Thanx when someone mentions DLCs I just think extra quests, I found a post about Euro releases :) I'll be taking the Caravan Pack, that Shotgun looks the most useable/useful weapon for most situations, tactical choice :) I'm only getting one, NV will have enuff stuff to satisfy even the greedest of us . Bonus Special Power Armour would have been nice with a Laser Rifle :)

I'd do it this way, each playthrough you could only pick one of the bonuses or none at all

Yes. I think it would be a nice extra for the collector's edition, and some people will probably be willing to dish out the $20 for the CE rather than waste hundreds of dollars to get pre-order from everywhere.

If I wanted to be an overpowered character off the bat, I'd play god mode.

Well of course buying the CE should get you all of the preorder bonuses from all the possible points of purchase.

And all the DLCs, assuming they release any.

And a free copy of Fallout 4 and TES V when they come out in the future...

I answered no. It wouldn't happen anyway. The pre-orders are from the stores, not from Bethesda. It's possible that in a few months they might become avaliable as DLCs, but I wouldn't hold my breath for them.

This is impossible. How would 4 unmade DLC be packaged?Even down the road they won't do that, the DLC will most likey come with GOTY.

Ah never mind, you are talking about pre-orders.

Yeah I want all of them even though Gamestop's is the best IMO. I'm hoping they come out with a cheap DLc for each like they usually do with other games that have such offers.
