Collectors Room Add-on

Post » Mon Jun 20, 2011 9:35 am

Would anyone else like an add-on for rooms just to house all the collectible items in FNV?
I have collected everything possible to collect in FNV (to date FNV, DM & HH) and have been trying to decently display the many weapons, armor, clothing, food etc... but it looks messy and unorganized no matter where I try. Something like what you find at Mick & Ralph's (but way cooler) where the wepaons are neatly displayed on the wall. A weapons room (Energy Weapons only for example) would have a designated spot for each and it would have to be in 100% condition before it could be displayed. Have a room just for armor and have the armor hanging up rather than folded so you can see it perfectly displayed. Perhaps on a Mannequin and be able to rotate to see back and front. A huge kitchen that would awesomely display the wide variety of kitchenware, utensils, food and drink. I mean where can I adequately display my Rum and Nuka :celebration: and have it not get lost in the clutter. A medical room to display all possible medical items and accessories. An area to display all the skillbooks and magazines with a zoom in feature. You get the idea. I would buy this in a heart beat!!!

Personally I use three safehouses to store and display all my stuff (i'm in the same position as you having collected everything). I use the BOS safehouse to store unique weapons and normal weapons in all the lockers (aswell as my teddybear collection) . The followers safehouse for unique armour/clothing as well as my nuka/sunset collection and store random stuff at the room in novac.

I see what you mean it would be nice to be able to store stuff more easily and display it - but i'd rather they concentrate their time on making good gameplay for future dlcs to be honest..

Agreed. But this could be done after all DLC's and patches are out.

And yes I too have a massive Teddy Bear collection right beside my Toy Car collection. The huge Toy Cars from HH are awesome.

I've never really bothered with toy cars but you saying that makes me want too...

I'd pay money for a patch to let me drop my unique teddybears =)

I'd buy something like this in a heartbeat, one of the little underated pleasures I got out of F3 was decorating by house in Megaton and displaying all my unique weapons and other stuff I had found. Tbh I really wish they would include a feature like this in the vanilla game though, it just adds so much more to it.

This.

I really don't understand why they haven't done it. I mean it's easy enough for me to do as I have all the unique weapons and some armour on display on the shelves in the Abandoned BoS bunker but... I would not object to a house with some manniquins and display cases. :P

I would love to see tiny dlc, like what Oblivion got with those house's packs. Maybe a house up in the mountains that has some military stuff in it, idc I just want it!!!

i think that OWB will have a new area the player can call their home. in the Qore preview there was an area called The Sink, and Jason Bergman stated that it is an area that the player has access to and can upgrade. in the preview you catch a glimpse of a bed, you see an auto doc, and they wouldn't add talking light switches to just any place in the game. to me, it looks like they are trying to create a perfect "home base" type area. so in reality, the place you are talking about might be included in the next DLC. "might"! i'm not sure, this is all speculation on my part but honestly that's what it seems like.
