combat helmet misaligned ?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 6:13 pm

hi, I've dropped a new texture on to the combat helmet and it appears fine in the preview but In-game the helmet is placed on the side of the player's face ?

All I've done is make a new texture set that is made up of a diffuse and normal map. The normal is a copy of the original combat helmet. The new helmet item I made is just a renamed copy of the combatarmorhelmet under the headgear list.

I've done a few retextures of body armor with no problems and the same methods.

Anyone know how this could of happened or better still how to fix it ??

I forget which tab it's under, but in one of the tabs on the top toolbar of the geck (file, view, world, etc) there is an option that says 'Update Facegen Model Availability'. Select that and it should fix the issue.

GECK Wiki tells me this function is broken and does the reverse (unchecks all flags)

I seem to have other items with the same problem now since I had not known that :/

Anyone know another way around this ?

***edit*** doesn't matter, found the fix on Nexus.
