Whats is the reasoning behind there being no command post buffs in competitive mode. Personally all I play is competitive and I feel like I am missing a whole aspect of the game with command posts.. constantly battling over the post to get the buff.. right now all they are good for is maybe an ammo re fill here or there..

Yeah, it's a shame. But that's what competitive does. It takes aspects of the game and cuts it out entirely.

I could be mistaken but as Competition is 5v5 the focus is entirely on the primary and possibly seconday objectives. Command Posts would split the teams a bit too much in such a limited environment. Also, the Command Posts are not balanced in that certain maps do not allow both teams an equal chance to capture them. Having a bonus provided from capturing them would provide a handicap of sorts that is hardly fair.

Besides, if you want Command Post bonuses without bots, just play Old Skool.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way about the command posts, but the ammo refill is not too bad for the Resistance in Aquarium during the escort portion. It is also pretty good for security during the escort part of Security Tower. (Specifically the ones that are in the path of movement. It helps with holding down the spot.
