'Community discussion' ignored/disliked?

Post » Thu Oct 13, 2011 4:27 pm

Is that why for all other forums you see the last poster and the name of the thread, but when look at the community discussion tab there's no detail of the number of posts/threads, no detail on last post on which thread, and just has that redirected hits: 0 thing?

That's because they all just link to this board (which you can clearly see is far from ignored)

Because its not supposed to be a focus of the boards... we're supposed to be here to talk about the games.

Lucky we gave it at all... There wasn't one for some time or so I understand.

Not ignored or disliked. Feared. The outsiders fear us because we are better than they are in every way imaginable.

Also, a little shameless advertising; I have an addon/extension that adds a link to the Community Discussion to the index page of the forums. (For Firefox/Chrome, Opera's extension API is [censored] so I can't be bothered to port it)

How can you say CD is ignored or disliked? There are more posters on this forum than most of the gaming forums, excluding NV and Skyrim.

CD is where us old farts come to die. They don't want to advertise it's presence too heavily.

The gamesas forumer's life:
THey are born after playing, or hearing about, one of gamesas's games.

They begin their childhood proper when they arrive at the bgsforums, sticking firmly in their game's section.

Eventually, they learn about scrolling down, and become teenagers as they explore other games sections or have their threads shunted to the series general or lore (or equivalent) section.

Eventually, they grow into old men and women, and move down here because they can't stand the new kids.
