Companion Creation Help Thread

Hello all-

Working on a simple companion mod to begin with, but larger scale in the long term. Trying to keep it simple for now, because I have very limited experience with the old Construction set and just getting my sea legs with the Skyrim Creation Kit.

In brief-
-How do I make an actor hostile after a certain player choice of dialogue? Do I just use this script and then compile it within that response?

StartCombat(Game.GetPlayer())

-Is there still no fix for mismatched body/face texture tone for non-templated actors? No way to export it and import it back in? Or can I change an already non-templated actor to a template, and then follow the steps to fix that?
-Can someone explain a concise way to make a actor follow after accepting that actor's quest?

If someone can just make a guide or a tutorial for companions, or point me towards one, they would be forever my hero.
