Companion Gone Forever Bug - SPOILERS

Post » Wed May 23, 2012 12:23 am

Please note there are spoilers in this bug.

I had following me around, and noticed she was missing. Months in game passed, and people would still tell me that I had someone following me already so they couldn't come. Last I'd seen her, I fought Alduin after I opened the wrinkle in time on top of the Throat of the World and she was there as the cutscene started.

I'm pretty certain she's gone forever ... because when I use the console to teleport to her, it takes me RIGHT to the wrinkle and she's nowhere to be found. I think she's still alive, but stuck in the cutscene? Anyone have an idea of how to get release her? If I try to teleport her to me via console, she's still invisible.

Thanks. It's a pretty big bummer because now I can't have a companion at all.

Hi,

If you Google, you should find the console command to summon your companion to your side. I had to do something similar with Lydia as she'd disappeared from the area I'd asked her to wait in. You do need to know the code for the particular NPC you had following you though.

Hi,

Just checked, the command I used to bring Lydia back to my side was:

a2c94.moveto player

The a2c94 bit is Lydia's NPC ID I assume, so you'd need to find the one for your companion. I expect the UESPWiki will have this information.

Good luck.

Thanks. I tried this and she is just invisible. I really think she got lost at the cutscene. Oh well. She definitely comes, but you can't see her. I finally just had to use the kill command in the console to get rid of her so I can get a new companion :(. Super bummer.

The exact same thing happened to me with Aela the Huntress. I posted about that yesterday. What command did you use to kill your follower because I guess I need to do that as well?
