So I was doing a misc quest for Vilkas (or Farkas? It was the guy in the wolf armour) and I was told to retrieve a stolen family heirloom from Sightless Pit. The quest seemed fine, I was being directed to Sightless Pit and decided to stop at the College of Winterhold to buy some spells on the way there. I saved my game and didn't play for another few hours. When I turned it back on I noticed I no longer had a quest marker and where the journal objective had said steel warhammer it now had (...). So the objective now looked like:

Retrieve the (...) from Sightless Pit

I carried on without the quest marker and travelled through Sightless Pit, checking all the chests and corpses as I went to make sure I didn't miss the warhammer if it was even still there. It wasn't. I haven't been able to find any information on this, so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this weird glitch and knows of a fix?

In the meantime I'm going to see if I can find a console command or something.
