Companion's Quest: Dustman's Crypt

Post » Mon May 28, 2012 6:35 am

Playing on expert.

I am level 25 1h+shield+heavy armor and just upgraded my armor and weapons to Ebony legendary.

The main boss fight has about ten opponents. About 6 silver swords (melee and archers), a few Drauger Overlords. They hit about as hard as I do and have about the same hp.

I have the one companion helping me, but can't get close to fnishing.

The ebony stuff was great for about 10 minutes, but the game seems to have rescaled damage/armor to it. Feels like I didn't even upgrade.

I have tried Voice of the Emperor (imperial), which calms all of them, but even if I do this, heal myself, and then try to pick off one of them. The single combatant is doing about as much damage as I am. Its an even fight, and this is six on one. (ten on two)

I burned most of my heal pots on trash leading up to the fight. Healing (resto) does not heal fast enough to be useful.

Has anyone encountered basically a 10 on two fight? Is there a trick I am missing, like running around them or something? Or am I underpowered for a level 25?

its kinda exciting/fun, but in an annoying way. It feels broken, like maybe it was balanced if I did it at level ten, but it scaled wrong or something. Only way I can see to finish this is running back to town and buying a stack of healing, or burning through ALL my consumables.

Lower the difficulty? =x Thats the only think I could think of if you're having so much trouble, Or kite them around the room and only fight 1 or two at a time. Those stairs make a pretty decent choke point from what i remember.

You should have found a couple of mass paralysis scrolls in said dungeon. The are handy. I played as a mage. Ended up jumping up on the table at the front. Used shouts, Scrolls, fire balls, atronachs, running around, pots, etc. It was a hard one. Good luck!

Could try reloading and redoing the begining, just be patient with the healing, or wait for an hour after a good fight. What shouts are you useing/do you have?

I had the same issue in the same crypt with Farkas. Except I played on Master. :/ And was level 12, but that may have helped me since the enemies weren't uber powerful.
