Hi all,

So during the rescue a kidnapped person quest for the Companions, I've cleared out the cave (Lost Echo Cave in this instance), and gone to where the quest marker is telling me to 'talk to Hern'. Thing is, he isn't there, and isn't there even if I go back out then in the cave again. Is this a bug, and if so, is there a way to fix it?

I've got the same problem. Looking around the forum and other places this seems to be common but I've yet to find a work round. In my case I went back (only an hour and three levels!!) and didn't take the mission.
