I have the fragment, which I am supposed to return to Aela (Companion member) in Whiterun. However, despite the fact that the quest marker appears over her head, she keeps telling me I have a job to complete for Vilkas (another Companion). He doesn't give me any quest-related dialogue options when I activiate him.

I have read other posts which say that if you clear out the dungeon (mine was at Faldar's Tooth) before accepting the quest it will become incompletable. I accepted the quest before going anywhere near Faldar's Tooth and it still won't work.

I am having the exact same bug in my game. Any insight would be appreciated. As is, I've had to abandon the Companions missions b/c Aela won't accept the fragment of Wuutrhad I've recovered and everybody is convinced I'm doing a job for Vilkas....
