You know.... Farkas is a naif - he'll never be more mature than he is in the here and now. So his participation in the were thing is due most likely to his brother, and the two of them being virtually "reared" by the companions. Even Vilkas isn't so entrenched in weredom that he's unredeemable. Of course, Kodlak is the instigator of the redemption.

The rest of them.... they like the rush, the blood, the kills. They need to go join the witches....

I agree with the op, just shows a lack of effort in the faction to force you into some lame twilight crap. Def miss the fighters guild.

It does seem like the entire Companion storyline was just thrown together cause there's not much going on there. The characters are cardboard and it's just the most boring faction in the game. I expected more. My guess is, the devs assumed most players will choose the path of the warrior so they didnt have to put the effort into making the Companions an apealing faction to join. In contrast, look at the Dark Brotherhood and the Thieves Guild... Yeah..
