Completeing both endings

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 8:17 am

Okay so after completing both campaigns I noticed something that I'm not sure of. The whole Guest slums seem to be gone. Were there should be shipping containers that were converted to homes is replace with water.

Then it zooms out to the boat which is I believe is Ishmael's.

I don't even know who that is, I see his name put up in the Loading screen.. I've only listened to a couple Brother Chen logs. So, who is Ishmael exactly? And why is he a "threat"? Story of this game confuses the hell outta me lol..

Ishmael Is the female Narrator.

She's a threat because if you noticed at the ending on the boat, the screen shows the positions of both sides leaders. My belief is She has been manipulating both sides from off shores. To what end I don't know.

To be honest, I thought it was the terrorists that tortured the security team. From my understanding of playing and winning as Resistance, the plane takes off and I was thinking that they got the position from the Resistance.

As for Ishmael, it's VERY possible. If you notice, the Resistance rush into war suddenly. From peaceful Resist to a fully armed order. I dont think that would normally happen all of a sudden, even if it was planned. I think theres something more tedious behind it. Maybe Ishmael will return to explain how the world changed, or that she will flood the guest slums with the "plague" in an attempt to rid the "Guests" and their ignorance, either way it will be genius.

From what I understand, we haven't been given the entire story of the ARK, just the beginning of something big.

And while we're on the subject, would it be impossible to assume that with the flooding of the world, the ARK isn't the only one of it's kind? I would imagine some governments were willing to put out the funds to build their own.

I also noticed no guest area right away, i think it's because on the boat they have the model ark (original version pre slums) and they didn't feel like adding the slums to the model, simple as that!

But then why is it when they zone out of Chen's puddle it instantly disappears. MUCH MORE ELABORATION FOR THIS GRAND STORY IS AT NEED! :)

The story isnt well told enough in my opinion. Its all kinda sketchy, bouncing between short clips of chatting fighters & some audio of the battle youre about to face. It was too brief. Playing solo campaign should give you more story.

Exactly what I thought. It's a pretty short game, and even knowing the developers worked hard on it,I think they could have done a bit better on the story, aside from vague audio clips, and "I have family there!" or "I don't wnna be here either!"

This is the only thought that has occurred to me that makes sense.

Clearly she doesn't care what side you fight for.
