From going after the Elder Scroll in the bloody ruins of a Dwemer city long lost, going up to the Throat of the World and learning Dragonrend to defeat Alduin, to going to the temple to slay countless Scourge Draugr and Death Lords, and the final Dragon Priest there, as well as the Elder Dragon and the Frost Dragon that roosted up near the gate. I plunged into Sovngarde and slew Alduin with the heroes in Skyrim's past, and when I got back to Tamriel, it was just so beautiful watching the dragons speak and fly off to circle around as Paarthurnax laments to himself about his brother's death, as one by one the dragons fly off into the overcast and snowy sky to do whatever it is that they will do now... I felt sad, felt happy, and it was rather wondrous to finally finish off this quest, this labor love that I started back on 6:35, Eastern Standard Time on November 11'th, 2011. The final part of the main quest was uplifting, saddening, and all around quite nice to complete. Was it the best? That is your opinion to say...
I have poured over one hundred and thirty hours into my main character alone. I have not completed any of the guild quests, I have only become Thane in Whiterun, I have completed a variety of miscellaneous quests, and I have lost three followers in my travels; Meeko, Lydia, and Faendel. Twenty Eight dragons have died while I have played, I've gotten only one skill up to level 100 and I have dragon bone armor decorating me... I'm still going to play Skyrim, there's a lot of places I have not been, I have not completed any guild questlines, and all around I have a lot of work to finish off and polish my game to get hopefully a 100 percent completion thing.
Right now, I stand on the peak of the Throat of the World as it snows and blows wind, and I am just simply transfixed by it all.So what's your story? How long did it take you? Was it worth it? Please tell, and elaborate if you want, on Skyrim's main quest and what you have not done and what you have done, and what you wish to do in this game.
