So my computer has been crashing lately...

So my computer has been crashing lately (via title) and it's getting...annoying? I can't play a game for more than 10 minutes without it happening. What happens is the monitor stops receiving an input signal, and then the computer freezes. Well, I think the computer freezes. Sometimes it sounds like it did, other times it sounds like it didn't. Regardless, the only way I can fix it is by restarting the computer. Anybody know anything about this?

It could be your graphics card. I'd clean it out, the fan may be clogged with dust.

I hope it's just dust. I'll clean it, thanks.

I heard the newest Catalyst driver (11.6) is causing those problems. You could try rolling back.

I use Nvidia

Anyway, I opened up the case and everything was covered in dust. No idea how that happened. I don't have any cleaner left, so I cleaned up what I could reach, and I'll go back and get the rest tomorrow. Hope this is really the problem. If it's not, it doesn't matter. I needed to do it anyway.

Edit: Surprise! That did... absolutely nothing.
