I think we might still have an hour or more to go before they release it.

not out yet, just posting this since I'm at work all day and likely won't get to use the thing today, depending on time it takes to DL...hence my question in advance.

File size is probably negligible - previous Construction Sets are only a few MB.

I remember hearing from someone it would be early afternoon when they release it, and in Bethesda's timezone it's quarter after eleven. We have an hour wait minimum, but hopefully no longer than three hours.

I doubt it. I bet there will be more people downloading Kingdom of Amular than people downloading the CK.

The GECK is only a couple of megs, I'd guess the CK is of a similar size.

The Oblivion CS was less than 10 MB, I don't think there's anything to worry about.

it will appear under the "tools" section, which is under the "view" tab in steam. you will have to pro-actively DL the thing.

You need to to go "Tools" in steam - it will be there.

I know a good paper towels vendor for all of us frothing at the mouth here.

Also got a line on some high quality bits for chomping.

Yep, if the bundle it with a texture pack, that might be a different matter.

Lol. The texture pack would be a patch, either auto or through DLC.

The CK will be on it's own in the tools section. You will be able to download them seperately. I gurentee it.

Sure, Steam will be overloaded with hundred of users waiting in line to download a 50 MB file!

Even less. Previous DevKits were like 4-9mb. The real issue is if they also release a texture pack, that could be several gigs. THAT'S going to drain the servers.

The beta CK was about 6MB in size, the release should will be similar. If you are on a high speed connection, you may not even see the progress bar during the download. Remember, the assets are what takes up all the room, and you already have that in the game that you installed.
