Confirmation about Megatextures and the Editor (PC)

Can one of the Bethesda reps please verify that the Editor will have the full capability to perform a decompilation of the MTs in the game, to an editable state, and then recombine them back into a MT that will work with the game. John Carmack did not directly say it did, but just mentioned the latter (building your own MT).

Could I also get information about what texture extensions the game will work with? I know that Rage is using JPG XR, but will it work with others like DDS, PNG, or TIF? If not, then please confirm that the Editor will come with a JPG XR codec (Win7 X64), and if there will be a lossless version of it made available.

Final question - Will PC users have the ability to edit an INI to disable most, if not all, Post Processes (blur shaders, DOF, etc.)? I have not seem many areas in the trailers that suffer from an excess of this, but if I am going to commit to modding these, I would like to know as much as possible before I start. I realize that some of these will be controllable via in-game sliders, but the INI access is always the best as there are usually many other PPs that do not have sliders.
