confronting Astrid

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 6:43 pm

I wish theirs a way for you to confront Astrid for all of the assassination attemps that was placed on you. So far I've gotten at least 5 assassins that attempted to kill me but, but was unsucessful.

A best option is once you imoblize the assassin thats trying to kill and start interogating them by asking them who they are and who they're working for. You're giving a list of immitations, persuasion, and by providing them with money for informations.

Once you go to the Dark brotherhood HQ you are greeted by Astrid. It can go both ways... either by joining them or by killing them all for revenge.

I would like to see this to be added to the game. It would increase my RPG experience that way.

Dark Brotherhood assassins are weak to imitations! Watch out!

Seriously though, they are trained assassins. They are above those kinds of persuasion tactics. And the bounty on you is far more then what you could pay them.

why would you need to persuade anyone? you can plainly see them advertising themselves with the DB signature armor and your magical NPC name divining ability.

and why would you pay them?! their reward is not being killed; if that isnt enough, i dont think money is going to persuade them.

and this actually brings up a glaring oversight about how the DB works: i dont know, so tell me, can assassins be sent after you if you are in the DB? i mean, anyone can perform the black sacrament, and being an assassin tends to make enemies. what happens when the DB is contracted to kill one of their own? ritualistic suicide? do they go about it discreetly like the devious weasels they are? or do they give the victim a 10 second headstart? or do they just say "sorry, cant kill that guy, he is one of us."

when your contracts are made by a dead lady completely outside your own jurisdiction, these kind of issues can become a real problem you know.

The latter, according to the Five Tenets. Tenet 5: Never kill a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis.

Yep, but the DB in skyrim don't live by the 5 tenets.

Spoiler
They do once you take over. Before that in Astrid's Brotherhood, they do accept a contract against a fellow member, and see where that gets them.

Or maybe you have to BE and assassin? I build my current character as a Shadow Archer and so far, I haven't seen one assassin come after me! LOL Well, I joined the DB and TG first chance I got. Made my way to Windhelm after hearing the rumors about a boy, after I got out of Helgen. Then made my way to Riften. LOL Wow, that was 50 levels ago... time flies when you are having fun!

But yea, my other 2 characters just killed the assassins. No need to interrogate anyone. lol

Yes but what if our charecters don't want to join the dark brotherhood? I think their should be an option to which I explain on my first post.

I'm tired of having to join every single guild. Its already ruining my RPG experience.

Are you saying you want a specific option/dialogue wherein you strictly confront her about the hits put out on you?

I'm guessing you know by now that there is way to eradicate her and the DB other than going to the Sanctuary.
