A conjurationwarriora build?

I recently created a new character in WoW, a death knight, and I like the character type (dark warrior, using his evil powers for good.)
It may be cliche, but Gods Be Damned! I like the character.

I've already played through as a mage, so I don't want to much magic centric stuff.

So, what I'm thinking is Conjuration, Heavy Armor, Smithing, Archery, and either 1h (dual wield) or 2hand.

What are some must have perks? And what do you think my stat spread should be?

I had a character that only used bound swords (dual wield) and bown bows. It was fracking awesome. Also, besides boots and gauntlets, he only wore hide armor, so he also used Alteration for protective magic. He kicked ass and took names.

That still doesn't help much.

I'm considering a similar play through ...

Not having a very magic-centric character with this sorta build seems iffy. If you forgo bound weapons, then it makes more sense to us a 2H weapon. But with that sort of weapon, your hands aren't free to cast spells.

I've never played the archetype myself but I feel like the safest best would be to make it offense heavy, so Two-Handed and Conjuration would be your big two. Conjure Battleaxe is only an Apprentice level spell so it's not so bad early on. Mage Armor isn't really a possibliy, so you either go with Heavy Armor since you're gonna be in the thick of things. As for health/magicka/stamina, I'd try to do like 40% Health, 40% Magicka, and 20% Stamina. Once you get the Two-Handed perk to decrease stamina consumption for power attacks, stamina isn't so vital. If you want more stamina then do 40/30/30.

Secondary skills, yeah Smithing is always a good one. I'm partial to Enchanting myself since it's useful for every sort of character. Plus as any sort of magic user, being able to enchant Magicka Regen is REALLY vital since heavy armor's not gonna have that stuff on it most likely. If you'd like to do Archery for far off opponents then pick that up, too. As far as what school you should pour perks into, I'd say the priority is like Two-Handed/Conjuration > Heavy Armor > Archery > Enchanting > Smithing > whatever else. As for specific perks, take each rank of Barbarian as soon as it becomes available, as well as Champion's Stance in the Two-Handed tree. Conjuration you naturally want the Novice through Master Conjuration spells as they become available, as well as Mystic Binding to make your bound weapons stronger. And I suppose after that, just grab ones that makes your familiars/atronachs/zombies/daedra stronger and stay by your side without disappearing longer. Actual spells you should grab ASAP include Bound Battleaxe and whatever the strongest companion it is you can summon without devouring your magicka reserves.

As for Standing Stones, I'd go with The Steed for more mobility/ease of movement of The Lord to bolster your defenses.

I made a very similar character I had dual wield swords IMO switching out speeds for spells is much better with this I did not have a ranged skill which i regret and instead of smithing i had enchanting to have 0 magicka cost so I didn't need the reduce conjuration cost perks. heavy Armor for daedric armor is awesome for this type of character
