Conjurer (Not Necromancer) Advice Needed

Post » Sat Jun 02, 2012 1:50 pm

I'm posting this here because some spoilers are bound to slip into the conversation.

Hey guys and gals,

I have created a few characters and tried them out. Some are fun and some are just silly but what I really want to play with is a conjurer that uses bound weapons and atronauchs. This character is not interested in raising zombies except perhaps at the start to level conjuration a bit but no perks in that
part of the conjuration tree.

The problem is, I'm not sure what skills will most complement this style. Due to the fact that I plan to get my hands dirty in battle I'm thinking I should at least go with light armour and maybe alteration. I can see that restoration might also be a good choice and Illusion is always helpful for crowd control. But I will also need to put points in one handed and archery to get the most out of my bound weapons.

There's just so many skills that could be used for this build so I'm asking for some ideas and tips from people who has played similar type characters. I'm planning on going with Dunmer but I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks.

You'll want all apossible offense you can get. So investing in runes is also one thing you should do.

When you know a tough fight is near, lay down a few runes - then perhaps use frenzy on the opponents to make them fight each other. - Take some pot shots at them from stealth with your bow. And when you get rushed, summon your best pet. The runes will go off with a bang when the enemy steps on them.
