Console command to give merchants more GP

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 4:34 am

So I'm really tired of all the merchants having barely any gold and having to go to every city and every store to just sell one dungeon's worth of loot at level 50. And perks are way too rare/valuable to waste on the Speech tree to give them more gold. I'd just like all merchants to have like 1000 more gold, that would make things a lot simpler. Are there console commands for that?

It's likely possible with the forceAV command(Syntax: forceAV ), but I'm not sure what the attribute for merchant's gold is.

Open the console, click the merchant, type 'additem f 100000'

User to be a command SetBarterGold but doesn't seem to be in Skyrim. Not sure if doing it like this will work for all merchants.

Out of curiosity, is there something to do with all the gold?
I'm level 44 and have reached the point where the stores have nothing better to offer compared to what I have or what I can craft. I already have a furnished house. I'm sitting on 40-50K in gold.

I went from cash poor most the game, to not knowing what to do with it.

additem set the barter gold amount for a merchant ("additem F 1000" adds 1000 gold to their available amount) Codes using NPC target (click NPC then type code)

so open console commands with the ~ (tilda) located left of your 1 key
CLICK the merchant
type in additem 10000 and that would put 10k gold on that merchant

Thanks for the ideas.

Soven, I'm a level 50 mage and use most of my gold for skill trainers, buying alchemy ingredients to make potions with, and buying magical items that have enchantments I don't know so I can disenchant them and find out. Also I have a couple more houses I'm going to buy, and they're quite an investment.

Also trying to master Illusion magic (mastered all the others, didn't use illusion much, now trying to bring it up) and it costs a lot of $$ for the skill trainers and spell tomes.

And, even if I can't use all the money, I'd rather sell the expensive loot I'll never use to declutterify my homes.
