Continuation of New Vegas after ending for ps3, or should I

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:03 pm

I have just finished the last quest in fallout new vegas on ps3. it was a truely awesome game. but i have no saves from before i started the quest so im stuck doing the same quest over and over in the small restricted space of Hoover dam. im just wondering if there will be a update or a dlc coming to ps3 that will allow me to continue roaming the desert after the last quest or should i just forget about my save data and just start again?

It has basically been confirmed that no DLC will let you play NV after the end- it doesn't matter what system you use, once you finish the game, it's over. New DLCs may will be released later, but none will let you play post-endgame; there's simply too much that changes in and around New Vegas.

but surely they could even release an update, it doesnt have to be a DLC, that could allow us to continue roaming the wastes rather than just being stuck in the loophole of the last mission, with none of the changes specified in the last clip made?

Welcome to the Forum. There are already two topics about this.

The technical ability to do that is irrelevant...thier vision for the game is that it would have a definite end, and thank God they are not backing down from it. They've been clear about that for over a year. If you only now are finding that out, then you obviously haven't been paying attention. Did you even bother to read that big message they put up before the final mission demanding you choose to either A) proceed to the endgame mission or B ) turn back and tie up any loose ends?

If the fact that the game ends bugs you so much, you should turn in your copy of New Vegas, and get it for the PC (and a new PC if yours can't run New Vegas.) Someone is bound to come out with a "play after the end" mod sooner or later...

At least a couple already have by the looks of it, although I won't be using them myself.
