Continuous Ant Nectar Withdrawal

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 12:18 pm

Only a few hours into playing, I became addicted to ant nectar. This wouldn't be a big deal if the withdrawal symptoms went away. Time doesn't work (over 10 additional RL hours have gone into the game since the initial addiction ended). Two different doctors haven't worked (they take my caps, and the game says my addictions have been cured, but the symptoms remain). Fixer does nothing. Becoming addicted to additional chems, then going to get all of the addictions removed doesn't work (although the other addictions are removed). Taking more ant nectar (after about 8 hours of additional gameplay) alleviates the withdrawal only so long as it's active, and then the withdrawal returns, still unfixable by any means. I have seen this bug mentioned on other forums, but no answers yet.

Failing an actual fix, is there a way to edit out an addiction, or even addictions entirely?

Yeah this svcks, im having the same issue too :-)

Whats exceptionally cruel about this bug, is that the ant nectar gives you +4 Str, and the withdrawal gives you -2 Str, so the exact stat you're using it to boost in the first place, becomes an even bigger issue _for the rest of the entire game_

Damn LOL. I loading an earlier save now to try and avoid the addiction :-) Just hope im not going to lose to much time ><
