The current stick layout for New Vegas it to where the right stick moves you and the left stick looks around. This layout is also called southpaw in other first person shooters. I personally play default and so do a vast number of gamers. It would be an easy update to make a stick configuration option to enable gamer to make the decision on how they want their stick layout to be.
