Cooking question

Is it possible to gain in cooking skill or learn new recipes? It would be nice to make some of the better healing foods that are sometimes found (ie. Sweet Rolls and such)

Nope, impossible, sorry. Although there are a few mods that expand cooking, add new recipes and even add cooking perks in the Alchemy tree. They fit nicely in the game. Try browsing Nexus if you're interested.

Sadly, I'm on Xbox for this game, if there is a way to mod it, I haven't figured it out yet. If I pull the drive and attach it via an enclosure can that be done? I suspect this is a question for the techie board.

Careful. Someone will rat you out to the Mods and the thread will get locked.

Supposedly it's possible to mod a 360 if you hack/reset glitch the living hell out of it, but that's really convoluted and not really worth it since most people who don't know what they're doing end up breaking their console.

okay, cookin is not so pressing an issue that I need to ruin my xbox for it. Was really only wondering if it was possible to add new recipes. Perhaps the game developers look at this site and see where desire lies? Don't know! But if they are looking: Please add cooking skill and/or cookbooks to the game!!

I just learned a new recipe. Elswyr Fondue, no salt required. Maybe you know it already, long duration and better than some potions, can't wait to try it.

Ale + Eidar Cheese Wheel + Moon Sugar

Magicka regenerates 25% faster for 12 minutes
Magicka is increased by 100 for 12 minutes

This is pretty much the only useful thing Cooking offers that isn't just specific to MUST LIVE OFF LAND roleplayers. It's especially useful for vampires or characters that use the Atronach Stone.

Vegetable Soup (and Venison Stew) is very popular among warriors. Non stop power attacks for 12 minutes.

I sometimes eat the food but mostly I cook it and give it to my follower so they can regain health. The food disappears from their inventory and I just give them more instead of just giving them only healing potions. :tes:

I used that on my orc and never saw a drastic increase. I'll try it out on my vampire(s) and see if it's as useful out in the sunlight.
