Corruption in The Strip

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:16 am

Most of my bugs seem to be fixed except I can not enter the strip without my screen going completely black and my auto save being corrupted. Wanting to see if anyone has found a quick fix for this since it's pretty obvious the Bethesda released an untested game.

Started happening right after I convinced the Boomers to help, and I am unable to complete the game due to this fact.

Try the following:

  • If you have an older save file, trying using that and attempting to enter The Strip and see if the same happens.
  • If you've installed the game onto your HDD, try deleting and re-installing, as it can sometimes* fix little quirks like this.
  • And, of course, the one that everyone will tell you, try clearing your Xbox's system cache.

Despite popular belief, clearing your cache does not affect your savegames. You will not lose any savegame data doing this, the only things that will be deleted are updates for your games, which will be re-downloaded the next time they're started.)

* By sometimes, I mean sometimes.

Same thing is happening to me. I can't enter the Strip at all now, it always crashes.

I managed to get into the strip from the Monorail, but now the save I made inside just freezes during loading. I guess I'm done playing until a fix for this comes out.

Bethesda seems to be ignoring this issue, lots of people are having it. A way around it is to get an Old Cowboy Hat and equip it before you enter.
