Could an elf?

Do you think the elves could of been around when the oblivion crisis was going on. It was only 200 years what was the original life span of a Dark Elf, Wood Elf, and High Elf.

At the very least Dunmer can live for centuries, if not longer. Divatyth Fyr, in Morrowind is a few thousand years old, I think. Though he may well have magically enhanced his lifeline. I'd assume the other elves have long lifespans too.

EDIT: I just loaded up Morrowind and the text for one of the quests mentions a Dunmer who is "a mere child of 200 years." So its likely their lifespan is quite a bit longer.

Yes. Elves who were alive during the Oblivion crisis could still be alive during Skyrim.

Sinderion, an elf from oblivion, was during hte Oblivion crisis, and is in skyrim. Though not in the way you'd think.

I would assume that a good portion of Altmer and Dunmer were around. They have a really long life span and low birthrate so all those elves can’t be new.
Does anyone know the natural life span of Orcs and wood elves in TES?

Maiq is still here and I say if the Khajiit can live that long there's no reason why any of the other races can't... Though I would expect the elves and beast races to have a much longer life than the human races...

Don't Altmer live to be around 800? I always assumed that some of the Thalmor in Skyrim are also the ones who claim to have saved the Summerset Isles from the Oblivion crisis 200 years earlier.
It would be nice if there were some dialog from old elves or vampires talking about witnessing the Oblivion crisis.

Maiq may just be a different Maiq. And if not Maiq is a special case anyways.

Dunmer and Altmer at the very least could be alive for centuries. I am fairly sure Bosmer have similar lifespans but I have nothing to back it.

M'aiq doesn't count, as he's the mouthpiece of the developers themselves.
Altmer and Dunmer could definitely have lived from TES 3 to 5, so it could be possible

From what I've read the more magically adept an individual is the longer they will live - regardless of race. Altmer and Dunmer have the possibility to live extremely long lives, but most don't do to war/violence/disease.

Hence Divayth Fyr being a few millenia old. I believe most of the Telvanni higher-ups are quite ancient. Though I think Aryon is quite a bit younger than the others.
