Bug 1: Companion Issue
-I had Veronica as a companion, but elected to fire her in favor of Boone, telling her to wait for me at the Lucky 38. I decided that I wanted to get her back, so I told Boone to take a hike. When I went back to the Lucky 38, Veronica was not there. I went back to the place I found her (188 Trading Post) and she was not there either. After a while, I gave up looking for her. When I went to Hidden Valley, however, I found her. When the Brotherhood of Steel opens the door and come out to talk to me, she comes out of the same door. If I am quick enough, I can talk to her and take her back, though usually I am unable to before the paladin takes me away. After talking to the elder and exiting, she is either using the intercom or constantly saying “See ya!” During both of these occurrences, I am totally frozen.

Bug 2: Weapon/Mod Issue
-I attached a 10mm Pistol Laser Sight to my Weathered 10mm Pistol (part of the bonus download pack). Upon drawing the weapon, my field of view becomes very hazy and my weapon does not show up. However, when I go to third person view, I can see a large red box around my character, on top of which is a large white exclamation point. The weapon still fires, but I cannot see it in my hand.

Any estimate on how long a patch might take for things like this?

Had the same problem with my weather 10 mm. I hope this is fixed soon

The Weathered 10mm is a unique weapon, which should have the ability to mod. The only fix there should be is to disable modding it.
