A couple of questions about RP'ing

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 11:14 am

Got this game a few weeks ago and only just had the chance to start playing it.
I started the game as a High Elf conjurer, but to be honest I'm getting a little bored and I'm only level 7.

I need to RP a bit more. I find the conjurer quite dull. Back in Oblivion, I used to RP as a wood elf archer, I had to go to sleep every night, and I was only allowed in towns to buy/sell until I purchased a property.
I enjoyed hunting for food and eating at night and in the mornings.

My questions are:
  • Can I get a bedroll that I can take around with me and sleep on at night or do I have to find a camp outside and clear it out first to use theirs?
  • I started cooking in places and made a few dishes and I'd like to be able to do that in my own "self-made" camp. Can I do that at all?

I'm considering a hardcoe mode where if I die, I die and it's game over, not too sure yet.

Other than the questions I've asked, does anyone have a other ways of RP'ing the game?

P.S. I'm happy to use mods that add cooking pots etc into the game.

I'm more pen&paper, so I argue with NPCs about rules.

As far as I know you'd have to clear out a camp and use that. Unless their is a mod out their already.

I'm surprised they still haven't included a portable bed roll that you can unfold and use, I hope someone develops a a mod for this. I must have a look I guess...

Hey Tony,

I have not found anyway to set up a campsite.

So far I have had to clear out areas to sleep in, sometimes you can find areas with allies out in the wilderness that will let you sleep on a bed/bedroll.

I do play hardcoe mode (die = delete) and I recommend it for the excitement and consequences it brings into every choice and battle.
