Crash on certain amount of NPC

Hey guys!

Why is it when I spawn 50 npc in the game that it crashes whilst my pc can easily handle it.
It gets dangerous already spawning near 26 of them.

I just wonder what the source of this crash is...

How do you know that your pc can handle 50 different AI npcs whilst running only on 2 threads, when most people already lose a lot of their framerate in cities because of the AI?

Possibly the same poor memory handling that causes CTDs for some of us.

I think he uses console command to spawn NPC and just count when CTD occur.

Well these are my specs :

i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8CPUs)
16 GB RAM
GeForce GTX 560 Ti

Shouldn't be a problem spawning like 50 bandits on a open field right?

OP: Your CPU & memory should be able to easily handle 50, I mean very easily. Your video card vs what your settings might be? Maybe maybe not, turn everything low and try again. If it still crashes well then there's something very not right because yah 50 was my first test to prove that Skyrim can use all 8 vthreads of my processor but I've had 200+ on screen as well (choppy though, quite choppy).

Oh right, were you perhaps loading them all at once? I found loading *lots* at once can be problematic too, especially objects. Like I could load say 2000 sweet rolls with one command and I could do that like 10 times in a row (provided I came out of the console for a sec to let them flop around) but if I tried to load 5000 at once then kaboom down to the desktop when I came out of the console.

A game never crashes to cpu load, it crashed because of bugs. if you spawn 50npc via console it could just be a placement issue. you can speculate but it is hard to get an answer to that. i think those numbers are equal on different systems
