Try pushing the cabinet with your back. As in....don't look at it or the safe. I had numerous crashes while pushing things in this level and as long as I didn't look at them while pushing, I was able to continue.

I am having the exact same problem and pushing with my back doesn't work I have also set my affinity to one core and updated my monitor drivers and all that good stuff that was posted in another thread. I'm on Windows 7 RC1. I think I will have to resort to the save games that were posted somewhere on here...
