Crashes when i open up the items menu

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 9:28 am

Havent played skyrim in like 3 months. My brother wanted to play it yesterday so i deleted all of my saved games out of skyrim (i have backups) and copied my brothers ones in. The graphics were completely mucked up so we tried some stuff including uninstalling before we turn off anti-aliasing off which worked. Now when we click the items and magic menu for both our saved games, it crashes straight away.

I cant remember if i have had this problem before, i think i might have deleted local content and it worked, cant remember though. ANy solutions or was my one correct?

If you ignored everything happening in this forum this month, and upgraded to a Radeon graphics driver newer than 12.1, that's the reason.

If you have a geforce, just presume the game never worked, and supply all the usual diagnostic information now.

You never mentioned mods, is that because you don't have any? I had the same problem myself and it was because of a mod I had made.

What so all i have to do to fix it is delete the new driver and go back to the previous one?Once the current one is deleted how do i install the previous one again?

And its definitely not because of a mod as i disabled all of them and it didnt make a difference,

It certainly sounds to me as though you need to hire a tech and have him do it for you. Everything you need to know about this is available everywhere in every language.
