Creating water in a cave?

Post » Tue Jun 19, 2012 1:28 pm

Ok so I've looked at the East Empire Company Warehouse level for reference and it seems that to get water in the cave they used a landscape. I looked at a tutorial and the person seemed to have created a new worldspace to implement water and terrain into his level. Is this the way you're supposed to go about doing things if you want water in your level if it's just something like a cave? And if so what is the deal with parent worldspaces?

There are separate water objects in the activators list - Waterdefalut1024 etc. There's probably a way to do it in Oblivion style (unified water plane) with worldspaces, but haven't tried that yet.

Ah thankyou. So how do these activators work? Is it really drag and drop as it seems (because that's a little too perfect :D )

Hey yeah the water is perfect! Fantastic  Now I just need a waterbed underneath it XD

EDIT: I just did what bethesda seemed to have done in broken oar grotto and gotten the cavegfloor01 piece then scaled the heck out of it, then copied it to make a nice large piece
