Creating Your Own Home

This is Game Jam from Bethesda. Features that were possible, but never made it into the game.

One section in the video shows a player home being created. Maybe with another DLC, or possibly the upcoming Dawnguard, you are able to create your own home. There can be a new character in every city in the General Goods store, or just a new dialouge choice with the currant owner of the store, and you take them out and select where you want to make your home. You could make a castle/fort design, normal house, etc etc. You could make it in the complete wilderness, or on a island, but you have to have a bridge reconnecting it to the mainland.

Within the home, you could chose room designs/sizes, and chose chests, tables, and other little items, but each room, depending on the size, would have a limit to the items (for lagging issues and console capabilities). You could create underground passages, hidden treasure chambers, and other neat things.

What do you think?

Home creation would be the best non bugfix add-in ever.

I keep my fingers crossed for the (unlikely) possibility they put it in.

If all this was put in, I would probably just fall over and die from overexposure to sheer awesomeness.

How about a Clan of House-builders? You could create your own Carpenter's Local 453... lmao

If it made it possible for me to build my own little shack in the woods, I'd support it.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that the video froze 50 seconds in?

I would like to have a room full of mannequins so I could collect every armour set ... and a nice dimly lit big room with enough bookshelves for every book in the game with a nice fire to sit at and read them all.

P.S, housecarls would not be welcome to lay around my house all day and night

I can't stand Todd Howard's voice or face, so I didn't even make it 50 seconds into the video.

On topic: I would have a cool death tower on top of the Throat of The World, move over little Parth, the big Dovahkiin's moving in

The thing I want most - after fixes for bugs of course - is the ability to build my own home. It. Would. Be. Amazing.

This, but I wouldn't want the supposed inanimate mannequins to suddenly come to life and start wondering around as they seem to do in Honeyside, can be a tad . . . unsettling.

I love the giant Mudcrab aswell after you kill it I would like to make a home out of its shell, like in morrowind.

OMFG all that cool stuff and the only things to actually make it are the kinect and the spell/arrow kill cams!?! Fail and Fail! everything else wins!

IF I can design my own home then I want to be able to decorate it! If I can't decorate efficiently then there's no joy in it for me. Although I would surely have a joygasm if I could design my own castle AND decorate it. Moat, draw bridge, secret passage in the hills and an underground labrynth. Also, it would be really awesome if there was a weeklong (in game) build time or something like that so that when you tell the game what you want a brigade of union workers from the Carpenter's Local 453 come and build my castle for me. Then if someone builds something poorly I can chop their head off.

You can already design your home exactly the way you want just open up the CK and start designing.
