So with in 10 seconds of using this I crashed it.

Go to Actors in the Object Window, right click some white space, click new, for the Actor Base in the bottom left, select player. Boom instant crash.

Using Windows 7 64 bit, and I had no data loaded I was just messing around with it.

yeah, it's been crashing for a lot of people. just gotta wait till they release a patch i guess... i really hope the release a patch soon.
