Creation kit duplicate form ID error fix : V

can some one help me when i try to open one of my mods in the creation kit i get this error.

FORMS: Duplicate form ID (01000D62) encountered in file 'modname.esp'

yes, no, yes to all

then i get:

FORMS: Assigning duplicate ID form new ID (0100DBA5).

yes, no, yes to all

then:

FORMS: Duplicate form ID (01001B26) encountered in file 'modname.esp'

yes, no, yes to all

FORMS: Assigning duplicate ID form new ID (0100DBA6).

yes, no, yes to all

and then the creation kit crashes. how can i fix this? Skyrim also crashes if i start it up with this mod loaded

You might want to try downloading TESVSnip and see whether that will open the offending mod. If it does, you may be able to fix the issue.

It would be that you are using two versions of the same file and thus you have objects with the same ID.

Heilghast you just saved me from so much frustration :biggrin:

. i opened tesSnip and delete the form id from my mod and it opened just fine in CK. i still got the second duplicate id error but clicked yes to all and must have fixed it. must have had a problem fixing two of the same errors at the same time idk.
