Creation Kit Errors

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 2:10 am

So I start the tool & load up the content, while it's loading it it gives me more then 4 notifications saying that stuff is missing? Also I follow the directions on the wiki for making weapons & I make the Vorpal Sword, start the game, enter the console command & it tells me it was invalid? I did everything they said & it doesn't work. HELP PLZ

Some errors shown when loading data are harmless, so you may not need to worry about those. All the same, could you post the contents of the error messages here?

Make sure you're incrementing the first two digits of your formID appropriately, depending on your plugin file's position in your load order, when attempting to access a form in-game.

If you plan on using the console to add items, you must use the form ID, not the editor ID.
And the first two numbers of the form ID, you change to the hex value of the load order your mod is in your game.

i'm getting the same various error messages in the process, such as MASTERFILE: navmeshinfo 00028e37 has no parent space, ignoring and various other messages involving "masterfile". Does this mean that I have a corrupt down load? Or am I doing something wrong?

If I remember correctly, that one's absolutely harmless.

EDIT:

Just clarifying - I was referring to the error you posted.

A lot of the error messages are due to the file it's looking for being in the BSA file rather than an individual one, click ignore and it will be fine
