I get a message saying 'unavailable at this time, please try later'. This has not happened before - anyone else experienced this or know how to resolve it?

Edit: looking at the forums I see I'm not the only one - but I assume it is working fine for most?

I did, I posted the symptoms in another thread in this forum. Basically I had a stuck at 99% d/l.

I fixed mine by just de-installing and re-installing through the Steam interface.

There's also another thing to try, and that's to rename the .blob file in the main Steam folder to .blob.old.
Do this while Steam is not running, then when it starts it will rebuild it.
(Off hand, I think it's the larger of the 2 blob files that you'd rename - there's a help page on Steam somewhere with full details though)

Yes, I just reinstalled too and that worked. I figured it probably needed some sort of updating but it's supposed to do that automatically, so this is the best way... Will bear in mind .blob files for next time (while hoping there isn't a next time!)
