Creation Kit will be released at the end of January?...

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 11:09 am

Crap like this thread is exactly why companies don't tell us anything anymore. The had plans to get it out by January and they were dumb enough (I guess) to tell us about their plans. People cry when companies don't talk about their plans and then cry when those plans don't turn out exactly as expected.

If they wouldn't have told an estimated time (like January) people would be raging more, trust me. They would jump on the mass hysteria band-wagon and pass on such "true" informations as CK coming out in three months / half a year / 2016 / by the rapture. Then everybody would get upset that the company dosen't even care enough to at least toss an estimated date to them.

It's a lose-lose situation, really.

I suspect they're waiting for the new patch to bring it out. That would make sense. Same for DLC.

January 31 at 23:59 EST.

That's my guess. So sit back, take a few deep breaths, and be patient.

Crap like this keep us dumb folk in line. Wanna change it for the worse? Well, then play vanilla.

1.4 is in the works and will have numerous fixes that have been reported. As soon as we have information on the date (and the finalized notes), we'll let everyone know.

The CK should be released just after it.

Nobody ever said "early January." The quote said "beginning in January..."

The later the patch is delivered, the more substantial it is likely to be, so a release in later January would be the optimal outcome. The patch release notes can't be revealed until Bethesda knows what they will be able to get fixed in time to build, test and release the patch to meet a January date. The more time they take, the better it will be.

I still can't see why people think that there's any relationship between patch and CK. To point out the obvious, what do you think was used to make some of the patch? As for the "they'd need to issue a new version of the CK once the patch was out" argument, I can only say: "What, like they did with Morrowind? Or Oblivion?" Nope, this is a Steam problem, through an through.

As long as it's taking Bethesda, will the Skyrim Creation Kit be released at the very "End" of January 2012???, the waiting and suffering is annoying me heavily!
They said in January, we are all waiting on it, just relax.

Anyone who complains about this and also complains about lack of communication wins the hypocrit of the year award. I figure there will be about a onethousand way tie for first place.

Two months until Mass Effect 3 is out; thats the cutoff time for investing in any DLC for me. Just lettin' you know Bethesda, no pressure!

You think you have it bad? I planned on spending more than 1600 hours working on a Shivering Isles sized new lands mod, by myself, and releasing it in June. I planned on starting in late November, so every day this gets pushed back more could potentially devistate my results...
